12/26 Christmas in DC

On 12/26, Anita took us ice skating. Our kids had never done it. I skated with Maile since Hansel had only done it once or twice before. He stayed on the sidelines with Beck, who was not interested in skating. He's an active boy but not a daredevil.

We skated for about an hour, which was long enough. I was afraid my back was going to be sore the next day from leading Maile around. She did a good job. I think she only fell once, and she tried a few times to skate to me a short distance.

Earlier that day I got my first haircut of the trip. It's hard to tell in the above photo. I got about 9 inches cut off to donate to Beautiful Lengths. I actually still have the hair. This first haircut ended up being a little too conservative for me. It looked like an 80s bob. I got another cut a day or two later. For the second cut, the hair cutter just angled it, so it was a little higher in the back.
