We've been slowly inviting people over to our new home in Palo Alto. On 12/20 we had the Chews, the Hews, and the Yaus over for brunch. Since it was close to Christmas, I decided to make a Christmas-themed brunch. Themes help me focus my menu. I made Christmas morning pie (an egg dish in a pie crust with red and green peppers), gingerbread pancakes, and mini cranberry-orange muffins. No photos of the food, so you'll have to trust me when I say everything turned out okay. I didn't burn down the kitchen, and noone had to make a run for the bathroom.
