12/18 Beck's Christmas Performance

Maile's class only had winter activities planned for the Friday morning before winter break; however, Beck's school had Christmas performances and class potlucks scheduled. So Hansel and I both went to Beck's performance. We went separately, so Hansel could go back to work and I could attend the potluck.

The boys were supposed to stand on the top step while the gals stood below, but Beck kind of got caught in the middle.

Below was taken after the performance. I was tickling Beck to get him to smile. Got more of a grimace.

While some parents were getting the potluck set up, the Chinese teacher led the kids in some Chinese songs.

I brought a booster seat for Mathis to sit in and eat his lunch. He did pretty well but eventually met his threshold and wanted OUT!

After the potluck the kids participated in a gift exchange. Each kid brought in a $5 gift. When his/her name was pulled, s/he could select a gift. A few of the kids wanted to pick the gift they brought in. Beck noticed that one of the gifts was trains, and he waited patiently as each kid was called. At one point, it looked like another boy was going to pick the trains. Beck jumped up, but luckily the boy picked something else. Finally, Beck was called, and he got the trains.
